The Internal Security Service, internally designated as The Service, is the Foundation’s sole intelligence collection and monitoring component. Operating as an independent body under the direct oversight of the O5 Council, it is tasked with various investigative and specialized tasks performed in the interest of Foundation security. Intelligence staff, from the lowest of agents to the directorate, work in cooperation with one another alongside partner agencies to ensure the safeguarding of critical Foundation infrastructure, preliminary identification and elimination of threats before they're able to transpire, countersubversion, internal security, and varying other affairs. The department itself is not responsible for legislative enforcement, but rather the analysis, prediction, and interception of any potential threats to Foundation security.
